Jury service is an integral part of our democratic system of government. The courts are part of our judicial branch. The constitution of the United States guarantees the right to a trial by a jury of one’s peers for most criminal and certain civil matters. Your service as a juror helps insure the sanctity of the constitution, and serves to preserve our democratic institutions. We thank you for taking your role as jurors seriously, and for serving with a willing heart.

The telephone number for the Jury Commissioner is (805) 654-2256. Telephones are answered between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily.

There are videos about jury service available for viewing in the Ventura Courts Self-Help Legal Access Center. You do not need to schedule an appointment, but can drop in to view the videos at any time during court hours.
